Booking flights on the Disneyland Paris website - Anyone else have problems?

I've just tried to book half-term for me and my foster daughter in Cheyanne (one of those last minute good ideas and a nice treat as she's stayed with me for five years) . When I booked on the website, I clicked for transportation too. Nice and easy I thought, all in the one place and convenient.

Until I confirmed it and the flights were "not available". "you have not been charged", said the website. Okay. Try again with different flight times, but the same thing happened.

Which would have been fine, except Disney have requested the money from my bank account. And my bank have put the money aside to pay them. Now that Disney don't want the money, it's sitting somewhere in my bank where I can't get it! I've had to arrange for faxes to be sent and I'm still waiting for the money to be released again. So no money for bills in my account until they get it sorted. And no money for holidays. Even worse.

Has this happened to anyone else? I understand the problems, but (more fool me!) the same thing happened in 2010. I've sent off the annoyed email. Any other tips?

Thank you in advance. While I drown my sorrows in a glass of wine and look longingly at photographs of where I want to be...

I've had a problem similar to this.
The first time I tried to pay my bank stopped it as they thought it was fraud! They then allowed me to make a payment, however it was not taken. I had to try and pay a further three times, I was constantly told that it was my bank not paying them and the bank were saying that they were releasing the money. I had to keep waiting for the money to become available in my account before trying again. I was originally told that as it was not my fault the booking would not be cancelled, only to get an email later on saying if I didn't pay I would lose my booking, I complained and the issue was looked into, apparently it was a fault they had with their connections, they were requesting the money from my bank who were allowing the payment but the connection was being lost so it wasn't being taken, apparently...
I had to order a cheque book and pay that way, the payment cleared quickly.
The whole process of this was really stressful so you have my sympathy!

I don't have any experience of the difficulties you're currently having with trying to book your holiday, but I hope you can get it resolved soon. Fingers crossed for you.

Thank you both so much! I'm not sure whether I'm reassured that I'm not the only one to have problems, or disappointed... Still no money today. I keep clicking the flights on air france to make sure they are still available for when I get to use my pennies again.

have you had a look at just booking the hotel/park tickets package through Disney, and sourcing local flights to CDG yourself? It can work out cheaper, and there is no advantage to having the flights booked through Disney.

Yes Elaine - Will do that this time (and the time after that and the time after that!) Unfortunately at the moment I can't because my bank hasn't released the money from some magical "pending" area yet. I keep checking to see if the flights are still available, and crossing my fingers hopefully.

And this time I've learned my lesson. Hopefully other people don't fall into the same trap.

I know I haven't had exactly the same problem as you but I understand the frustration at knowing you have money just floating around, money that you need too! It took about 5-6 days each time for me for the money to clear :( I hope they sort it quickly for you and you can sort the travel out!
