Hi

Starting to look at booking flights for next year (2010). Not going until end June so I'm playing with end May dates to see prices etc. This time we want to spend 3 days in NY before flying to Orlando for 14 days. Would like to fly from Edinburgh / Glasgow to NY and then stopover - the return would just be 2 flights back via NY.

I can get return flights to MCO from EDI/GLA via NY no problem but haven't been able to split the outward journey - mostly tried Travelsupermarket.com. Is this something I need to call the Helpdesks about or do I need to book as separate flights - e.g. EDI to NY and then NY to MCO ? It's more expensive doing the latter.

Any help or website that I can do this with appreciated.

Garry

I used Expedia to book a multi stopover holiday - you need to click on flights only & then multi trip I think - I'm sure you'll find it.

I always book with the air lines direct and use multi stopover instead of return flights

last time we used aer lingus on the way out and continetal on the way back

As Samantha says Expedia allow you to book it using Multiple destinations feature. Opodo has Multistop flight search.

If I remember rightly when we did it for New York I booked the return flight from Man~NYC then an internal flight seperate, saved about £100 doing that. Doing all on 1 booking I believe you get more protection for delays and luggage allowance all the way thru but worked well for us seperate.

I have a GLA-EWR-MCO flight booked in May next year with Continental and considered adding a day or 2 in NY to it but it wouldn't allow me online. I think you'd have to phone them up for them to do it :confused3

We are doing this ourselves this september (from london though).

I searched almost everything, expedia, travelsupermarket, Kayak, etc and found the best deal to be flights.

Best deal I found was flying using Virgin Multistop - from LHR to JFK then Back from MCO to LGW. We had some time to spare so decided to do the 24 hour train journey down to orlando (got a sleeper cabin though) worked out cheaper than a flight and hotel (for one night) and is a lot less hassle!!!

Hope you manage to get what you are looking for but the airlines websites have proved to be the best bet!!

Hope you get what you are looking for.

I have previously managed to do this on Continental website by doing an advanced search and then clicking multiple destinations.

I think delta may do a similar search and fly from EDI/GLA via one of the New York airports.:thumbsup2

Thanks to all.

The websites mentioned are bringing up the required results so I guess I'll just have to wait until the June and July flights are released now !!

I found last year that the flights were really dear when they were first released , something that I haven't seen before
so kept watching and on xmas eve (about 3 months later)got them for half the price

sign up for all the email specials from the airlines too

Good luck
