Booking Fireworks Dessert Party

What is the best way of booking a dessert party? Today was my ADR day and I'm happy to say I got everything I wanted. I just can't seem to figure out how to book the HEA Dessert party. I'm sure it's something obvious I'm missing. Do I do it through dining reservations on the app? Is it easier to call? Or am I just too early?

It’s easily bookable online, you shouldn’t need to call. Looks like dates are loaded through 3/31/18 at the moment, which I guess is right at 180 days.

I just booked our HEA dessert party for 1/23 on disneyworld.com. I just searched the date I wanted and MK, and it was right there.

I'm having a brain cramp, and can't remember. Are you charged the entire amount when you book? I thought this is the case, but I'm not entirely sure. I just don't want any surprises when I show up to two different dessert parties!!!!

Yes, PP is correct - you’re charged the full amount at booking. 5 day cancellation policy.

I tried to book online a couple days ago and got error messages. I had to call. I don't think you can book it through the app.

In the App you cannot get to it easily by clicking on the Reserve Dinning option under My Plans. Instead, you need to stay on the map of the park and scroll the headers at the top to dinning. There will be a little knife and fork icon on the map at the Tomorrowland Terrace location. Select that and the party will show up with all its various options. You can then select the type of party you want and go from there. Sometimes it let's you book from there and sometimes it tells you to call. Kind of frustrating. It is better to do it from a computer on the WDW website or call.
