Booking Fastpasses/Ticket Question

We are staying at BCV and I have Epcot FP+ booked for the first day we arrive. Since we have never stayed at Beach Club though, I would kind of like to "go with the flow" and if the kids want to stay at the resort and swim do that instead.

If we decide not to go to Epcot, I would cancel the FP+ right away. Will we use a day from our 8-day ticket since we booked FP+ that day and be down to 7 days? Or will I still be able to use the tickets later?

You will still be able to use your ticket for that 8th day if you don't scan to get into the park.
