Booking Fast Passes for Others

I've never booked fast passes before (haven't been to Disney for 20 years) and I want to make sure I'm prepared (we can't book until July for our Sept. trip). My husband is on my "Friends & Family" list, but it doesn't say that I am managing his plans (like it does for my daughters). He also has the MDE app. Will I be able to book his fast passes for him (by selecting him from my Friends & Family list), or does he need to authorize me to book for him? Also, is there a way for me to "practice" booking fast passes before my window opens? I thought I read about that somewhere, but I can't figure out how to do it. Sorry if these are dumb questions .

Yes, you can book his as long as he has a valid ticket.

Whether or not you can practice depends on how you got your ticket. If you have a package, then no practice. If you bought tickets separately, you can pick a day within 30 days and practice.

@TW22 - If you purchased a package or have ‘date-based’ tickets, you won’t be able to practice and must wait until your 60-day window opens.

Thank you both! I have a room only reservation for the hotel and bought our tickets through Undercover Tourist. However, I believe they are date based, so it looks like I'm waiting for the 60 day window to open.

make sure you have linked the tickets back to your MDE and assigned it to each person. We went with 3 families and did this. One family didn't link theirs and couldn't do fast passes at the 60 day mark until they linked.
