We're going to try and book Eurostar for our December trip sometime in the coming week, but before we do I was wondering if anyone could shed a little light regarding Disney Express?

No matter how much I read about it I just can't seem to get my head around it. Do you book Disney Express when you book Eurostar? How much does it cost? What's the difference between travelling with Disney Express and travelling without it?

I sound like such a newbie, but this is my first trip to DLP where I'm in charge of planning, and furthermore my first ever time travelling with Eurostar.

Thanks in advance.

unless you are only going for 2 days over a weekend, I don't think you'll benefit much at all from using Disney Express. You're staying at the HNY, yes? So 5 minutes walk through the Village with your cases and you'll be at your hotel to check in, leave your cases and collect your park tickets.

You will pay £32 for Disney Express. What could be better for you is to just use Disney Express on your last day, so your bags are taken to the train station for you. That means you can enjoy your last day in the park without having to come back to the hotel to pick up your cases - they will be waiting for you at the train station. This only costs around 11 euros total (ie you are not charged per person). Just ask your hotel to arrange this for you.

Thank you, this is a great idea! We're staying Monday-Friday so time isn't an issue on the first day. So we'd arrange to use Disney Express on our last day through the hotel? Or do we book in advance?

you do it through the hotel :), just ask at reception there.

Oh the last day, when you check out, just ask to book your bags in and they will direct you to the desk for payment. Then you take your bags to the luggage room and that is it!! (after they put your tags on that is!) They can't take anything breakable as they are not liable for it, or alcohol as it could break, but they will take any amount of bags per room!! We were cheeky one year and put two rooms into one, we had a total of 10 bags (three were carrier bags with BBBWWS hats in though so wasn't tooooo bad! :thumbsup2

I should also be grateful for a little info, we are heading to dlrp in September for just two nights (Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st) during our holiday visiting relatives in London. We have booked our hotel through an Irish tour operator and the Eurostar direct. Would we still be able to use the disney express service? i have a vague recollection of reading somewhere that you can pay for the service at the station. As we are only there for a short time (and are staying at the Cheyenne) we do not want to waste valuable disney time by having to go to the hotel for checking in and collecting our park tickets.

Many thanks for any information that people may have.

Emma

You can't pay at the station I'm afraid, you need to phone Disney with your booking reference and your Eurostar train booking reference and then add the D.E for each adult in your party. By going from London, your tickets/hotel booking will be done on the train and you will have access straight into the parks. Simply put your luggage in the D.E desk before you leave to go in to the parks and it will be taken to our hotel where you can pick it up later :)

many thanks Lisa, i'll give them a call and hopefully sort it out, definitely good to know that before we leave.

Does anyone know if there is a certain time you have to put the bags in for Disney Express on the way home? Or is it by 11am?

And what time do you collect your luggage from the disney express desk on way home to get the eurostar? I remember reading that there has been big queues a while ago to collect from disney express counter?

Thanks

personally i like to use d.e both ways. we have our hands full with 3 kids under 6, so any help to move our bags is a godsend.

when you book it seperatly you get your park tickets etc at the d.e desk at disney. this is the only difference if you book it yourself.

To put your bag in the D.E on the way back, I can't remember the specific time but I do know we put ours in as soon as we have had breakfast. Then we go into the park and want to cry because it's our last day :sad1:

You are supposed to collect your back from 6.30 onwards - yet I find that the less bags you've got the less time you need - we are taking two suitcases this time and they are black with bright pink flowers on so we will be able to spot them :thumbsup2 I tend to leave it later, around 7.00pm but it can be hit and miss how busy it is. Once we just collected them straight away, and another time I was panicking as I know the train is in the station from around 6.30 and I had visions of it going with out me!
