Booking DVC?

Hi

I was wondering how to go about renting a DVC? (first time to WDW) How much is it, is it cheaper than the deluxe resorts? Saratoga Springs seems really nice, but we are going for 2 weeks, and have budgeted about $150 per night, so I suppose there is no chance!

Its late Arpil/early May 2008, if that makes a difference.

Try the rent/trade board. If you rent on a weeknight, the points are much less-depending on what size room you need you could get something for as low as 11 points for a weeknight. Point rentals range from $10-$12. I would start looking though-they go fast.

There is a rent/trade board at the bottom of the DVC section here - they have some required reading threads that sort of explain the process. I would start there.

How many people are in your party? To rent points from an owner for a studio (sleeps four plus a child under three in a Pack & Play) with a queen bed and double sleeper sofa plan on $1200 per week. To reserve directly from WDW it will probably be over $2500 per week.

okw it is cheaper than SSR plus has 2 queen beds - the other studio have a queen bed and a double sleeper sofa.

April is still in spring break time for the DVC points - so go in May

may 6, sunday - mother's day - 10 - so a $100 to $140 depending upon who you rent from

so you could stay until May 10 for $500 - then the weekend

fri, May 11 - 24 points - so $240 to $336 per night for both fri & sat.

so for a week at OKW in May - $980 to $1,372.
w/o fri/sat it is $500.

I go to value resort for fri/sat.

you have to see what means more to you saving money or changing resorts.
