Booking DVC about 45 days out

I just found out my bonuses will not be coming until mid to late February. My wife and I planned to rent from someone for late March. Is it a whole lot tougher to find rentals when you are 45 days or less out?

Yes, because very often everything is booked by then, partocularly for a fairly high demand spring break week like the end of March.
