Booking DLR package via Costco

I have booked many packages with Costco. Their cancellation i beileve is the same as Diseny. I do at times prefer to book room only straight through Disney so i have more flexibility. But you can make payments just like through Disney, You can pay with a gift card, rewards card or credit card. Same exact price as Disney but you get an added bonus of the gift card and lanyard.

When i have had questions or wanted to make payments over the phone i would call the disney number I have never had to go directly through Costco, but that could have changed.

Thanks. Did you feel the cancellation policy was more strict than Disney’s? Did you feel it was worthwhile to book through Costco instead of direct with Disney? Any complications related to having Costco as your TA vs. booking directly?
Costco cancelation when booking WDW is different than when booking DLR. DL is the same as Disney. It is a $200 deposit on packages and it is completely refundable. You don't have to pay in advance in full and you can easily cancel and change it. The confusion, I believe, is with WDW. That one is MUCH more strict and harder to change. You also have to pay much more upfront and it is not refundable. I don't know why it is so different, but I booked both this year and I did DLR last year as well, and it is much easier with DLR. Hope that helps. Also you get the 2% back on both packages, which is great. I also found the price less for packages on both then booking directly....with the exception of if you buy everything individually...that can be cheaper but in our case it wasn't on two of the trips we booked.

Is it completely refundable up until 30 days before, like DL travel? As far as I know, no packages are “completely refundable” with no cut off date at all for the cancellation relative to the check-in date, but I could be incorrect?

Another thing to point out about Costco is that a member can get 3% back on travel & 2% for being an executive member. Plus the gift card, lanyard, etc.
