Booking direct with Disney US

Tonight we have been online and looked at prices with Disney US and so far it's better than anything we've got with travel agents. We tried Disney UK but they couldnt offer Dining etc. Has anyone ever booked direct with Disney US, any problems etc? Thanks

Another option is to book through a US Travel Agency- Dreams Unlimited are fantastic! That is who we booked with and our agent has been extremely helpful.

Yep we have booked direct. Best to do it on the phone, 001 407 WDISNEY.

It all goes smoothly, you only get a letter as they do not send the booking package internationally, it Will be waiting for you at the hotel.

When you give them your address make sure they have the county or the credit/debit card does not authorize.

Alternatively use a US travel agent, such as dreams unlimited.

I booked direct -very simple, just check they spell your address correctly as I was amazed the confirmation got to us!

We've booked a few times with Dreams Unlimited and can't fault them - in fact I don't think I would book myself now. They are super quick, and will book/change all your ADR's, saving time and money here.

Am I correct in thinking that you can book your disney hotel and tickets with them but you have to arrange your own flights?
Does it really work out a much cheaper way of doing it?

We've booked a few times with Dreams Unlimited and can't fault them - in fact I don't think I would book myself now. They are super quick, and will book/change all your ADR's, saving time and money here.

if you book direct with Disney and do not get the paper work as long as you have the booking number thats all you need

We've phoned virgin and thomas cook and thomas cook came out the cheapest by about £200, then tried direct with disney and the accomadation was alot cheaper.

And you can get the park tickets with the accomodation which is a big saving on them. I suppose it just depends if you can get reasonably priced flights.

The prices with thomas cook, for the same flight etc, are £150 cheaper we found. We know what flight we want etc just got to wait to book it.

Found some decent prices with Disney US for October 2008, tho the problem is i cant compare them with Travel Companys (Virgin etc) as i cannot find anywhere to get prices for flights for this time (most are up to July 2008!!).

Anyone know of any sites where i can look for Oct 08 flights prices?

Airlines will not give you a price before 336 days out from your return flight, however, Virgin Holidays will give you flight prices for that time (they book then inform Virgin Atlantic around 336 days out)

We booked a last-minute additional room at the Poly for my DS and his GF last summer with Disney US. Best price (by a long way) for the cheapest room category and when we arrived they got a free upgrade to concierge! So, as you can imagine, I have nothing but praise for them...

Excellent, thank you for that, it's really Virgin that we want to fly (my fiancée's boss goes to Florida a lot on business and uses someone called Dial A Flight who also use Virgin flights sometimes) - didn't think to go through Virgin Holidays and kept getting frustrated when lookin at flights through the Virgin Atlantic site

That's brilliant! I've also been intouch with Dreams unlimited and their getting back to me with a quote. I've asked Virgin for flight quotes but they say they cannot give me just a flight quote at this moment in time. Hopefully all work out cheaper though.

I had a look on the Dreams Unlimited site and found the holiday I'm now saving for - the 2008 Magic Your Way Platinum Package - not sure if I'll make it in 2008 again but will go as soon as I can!
