If I book a cruise with points through member services(which I have done before- just went through member services), can I also use a TA, after I book it all with DVC? I could call them, but figured someone might know on here. Thanks!!!

I seem to recall some limitations announced a few months ago related to booking direct with DCL then transferring to DVC points reservations. Something about the time frame you had to do this IIRC.

I actually just called and asked about this myself. If you do an onboard cash booking (10% discount, 1/2 deposit etc) you have 7 days after you disembark to book a DVC point cruise to receive the "discounted" onboard booking incentive. Is this what you are talking about?
Unless you have an excess of DVC points or have been banking them for specifically for a cruise I found that paying for the cruise is better value than using your points IMHO.

I agree about it not being a great value, we don't have the cash to go, so decided to use the points. We have rented before, we have also used points before, so we are Ok with it.
