Hi all,

If I book Cypress Point thru hotelkingdom.com
will I have to go through a timeshare pitch or am
I just booking a room?
Thanks

I emailed Hotelkingdom and asked the very same question. The response I received is that you do not have to attend any presentation. But, you can if you so choose.

That is correct. You do not have to do a timeshare presentation. I was there in July and booked through Hotel Kingdom.com. You will not be disappointed at all. It is very nice. There is a booth beside the registration desk in the lobby. The people there will ask you if you need any info. for the area and they will ask you if you are aware of staying in a timeshare. You can say yes, but you are not interested and they will not bug you anymore. I think they may sell tickets at the booth also, or that may have been what they were getting at with the timeshare.

Have fun and don't worry about it, if you do not want to do a presentation.

If you don't stop at their booth when you check in (probably most people don't), they will call you your first morning there and ask if you would like to attend the presentation. Just politely say no and they will not bother you anymore. They'll ask you some other questions first, do you like the place, what is your family income, etc. When they found out our income was below 50k, they didn't even ask us to attend. I was kind of disappointed - we could have used the 75 Disney dollars they offer for attending.

How 'bout the other side? ..... Has anyone ever done the presentation? What do they offer? Is it worth it? Can 1 adult attend?
Thanks.

We have done the presentation, and it took longer then they say, but DH and I always ask a ton of question. Both husband and wife must attend, they feed you. And have act. for kids as they talk to you. It is not as high pressure as the Fairfield Pres we went to. We got a pre paid VISA with $75 on it and Chilie Rst. gift cert. We had really not wanted to go....

This is usually where we stay in Orlando,(Cypress Point), we own a lot of Sunterra points. We had 11 staying in a 3bedroom lockoff in May. It was a little crowded, but we should have only had 9 or 10, love the whirlpool in the master bath, and in the studio lockoff. Washer, dryer, kitchen, screened balcony with table. 2or 3 TVs.

Pool is med.size, basketball, and stuff. They have a bar-b-q on either Wed or Tues, free if you stay there. And a few other things each week.

Good luck with the trade/stay.
