Booking Cruises with DVC points ???'s

We didn't use our points because I didn't think it was a very good deal at all. It takes a ton of points & then you have to pay the extra fee too I think. It would be much cheaper in the long run to just pay for it or at least for part of it if you can unless your just trying to get rid of points.

Does anyone know if you get the DVC gifts, etc. if you don't use your points?

YES! From what I have been told they know you are DVC members!

I think it depends on what cruise you want to take and what level. In our case the difference between renting out our points for $10 a point and using them is about a 120.00 difference and to us no worth worrying about it. I bought points to use them. For some spending points at Christmas time when the points are extremely high is worth it, but for us it is not. We would rather spend less points and go at unpopular times. So it all depends on how you want to use your points. I am thrilled about going on a 4 day Disney cruise and using our points versus going back to a DVC resort at Disney for a four night trip. This is the whole reason I bought DVC!
