I want to make a reservation at CRT but it wants to to prepay. I would like to use 2 table service credits from my dining plan instead of paying - will this pre - payment be refunded?

We had the same issue. I mentioned to the server that I wanted to switch to the dining plan & the money was credited back to our credit card account soon after. HOWEVER, I don't think you can get it switched over prior to actually arriving at the restaurant.

Can you call to book it? The representative can book under the dining plan and then you don't have to prepay at all.

If not they have to cancel the reservation and then rebook it, or you would have to get a refund at the restaurant. If you cancel and rebook you do run the risk of losing that reservation, but it can be done.

You should be able to book under the dining plan online but sometimes there's a glitch in the system and it doesn't work.

I don't mind pre paying so long as my account will eventually be credited. I got the exact time I wanted and it's on our day of departure so I don't want to cancel and risk losing it before I can rebook.

I don't mind having to pay, I just need to know if I should be using my dining credits elsewhere

You dont even have to call....

If you have you DDP already linked to your account just make the reservation, when it brings you to the payment screen it will give you two options.

The top one will be using your dining plan and credit card guarantee, which means the credit card is holding your ressie like all other ressies, but will not charge you.

*In fact, the next page will tell you that you will only be charged if you do not show up.

The second option is paying with your Credit Card and it actually gives you a total amount due.

Unfortunately that didn't work for me and some others said it never worked for them either. I was only given an option to pay in full with my credit card even though my dining plan is in MDE with my resort reservation and everything is all linked up just fine.

Yes, you can change your form of payment to the dining plan credits and your credit card will be refunded.

If you can wait until the day you dine at CRT just let your server know and they will take care of it. They are quite used to having guests change to/from the dining plan and OOP.

If you want to be refunded now you will have to call the dining reservation line. Make sure the CM understands that you just want to modify the payment form. The easiest way to refund a credit card is to cancel a res and re-book, but you do not want them to do this because in the brief time between cancelling and re-booking someone else might be online and snatch up your res and now you'll be without a reservation. If the CM wants to cancel ask for a supervisor or hang up and call again...or wait until you are at CRT.
