Keep trying every day. Also, go onto the restaurants board, Dining reservations sub-forum and subscribe to the September cancelled ADR thread. People post before they cancel so you can try pick up their ressie as they drop it. If that doesn't work, go to your front desk at your resort (are you staying onsite?) every time you walk past and ask. People do cancel but you need to be there to pick it up. We snagged on in the middle of Easter week last year that way for CM.

Its completely nuts....

Every single character breakfast for every single day of the two weeks we're there is already booked....

I'm sure in the past I've just strolled into customer services during the first few days of our holiday and booked something for a weeks time.

Oh well, looks like it might be universal character brekkie then...

Unfortunately with free dining the popular restaurants fill up months in advance but as Lee says keep trying, people do cancel & try the restaurant boards.
CM was one we had trouble with booking at 90 days +10 last year, this year we had no trouble with any at 180 days +10.

Yes dining reservations can be made 180 days in advance (6 months) now.

Your dates are during the main US free dining offer aswell.

Keep trying online as cancellations do happen and ask at guest services.

Chef mickey is very popular - an alternative like cape may might be easier to get.

We had the same problem last year with CM and with our extra CP reservation (90 days out). This year no problems.

Paul, don't give up. Yes, it is nuts by normal standards, but by Disney standards it is perfectly normal. If you have a read through some of the threads on the ADRs sub forum you will see that there are hordes of people who set their alarm for some ridiculous hour in the morning to get up and be sitting and waiting online to hit those ADRs the second the system opens up on the first day of their window. I had no problem getting my reservations this year, but I was sitting there too right on time. A few days later none of my more popular restaurants had availablity.

I was just wondering if you specifically want to do CM for the character selection, for the food, the location or a combination thereof? If you can let us know your reason for your choice perhaps we can make some alternative suggestions for you. As character meals go, it seems that CM and Ohana are currently the hardest ones to get, keeping in mind that they only do breakfast and dinner whereas the others serve lunch as well.

Have done Chef Mickey in the past and it was very good. Done Cape May before and not so impressed.

Got a 7yr old hence the reason we want to do a character breakfast.

That makes perfect sense! Do you have a boy or a girl? Any particular favourite characters?

Try putting in a 10.00 or 10.30 am for that day and see what comes up.

Thanks Tiggies but I should have clarified - 26th is day we're flying so we dont get there until later on.

I thought it was the day you were looking for the reservation I don't mind checking whenever I have a free moment too if you like, although you had better have your DIS replies sent by text alert to your phone then

I've run every day we're there through the reservation system - nothing at the moment....

Pity you cant do a search for any char breakfast between two dates on the res system.

We had a 20 hour delay last year arriving and as such missed our Ohana Breakfast last September. We tried to rebook on arrival and were told no spaces - I started to cry thinking omg DD loves Stitch we HAVE to see him.

The CM at our Hotel said just go along - and they will fit you in I am sure. So we did... DD was dressed in her Lilo outfit and we went along - I explained to the 'Cousin' working on the desk about our flight delay and there being no reservations and could they fit us in - absolutely no problem.

It could always be worth taking a punt on one of the restaurants and turning up.... we did!
