Booking character breakfasts

Rang to book some meal reservations today. Booked Walts and Cafe Mickey for dinner but advised that could only book Plaza Gardens for breakfast 24 hours in advance - unaware that this was the case - is this the norm?

That seems strange
We had prebooked 2 mornings Character Breakfasts and I was a little disappointed to find they were both at Cafe Mickey, I wasn't given a choice as booked through Tour Operator, do they perhaps use Cafe Mickey for prebookings and Plaza Gardens, nearer the time ?

I've never came across this before. Was this with your travel agent, Disney CRM or with the restaurant phone line ?

I rang up the DLP dining line - the CM went away to check and came back with the response that I needed to ring them the day before (or in my case when I get there). The CM was pleasant enough but I did get the feeling he may have been new - do you think I should ring back and check with another CM. He didn't give me any reservation reference numbers (as I am used to at WDW) is this usual?

I didn't realise that the Plaza Gardens were doing a breakfast now - is this instead of Walt's?

I didn't get a reservation number or anything when I booked our restaurants on the last trip and we didn't have any problems, so I think that is probably usual, still don't understand the breakfast problem though

I have only been given a reservation number once for the very first meal I booked. I've never been given one since, I queried it when I phoned to book another meal and the CM couldn't understand how I had been given one the first time as apparently DLRP don't give reservation numbers

I think it may be.........they were doing character breakfasts at Plaza Gardens at Christmas time, I remember they were giving annual passholders 25% discount instead of the usual 10%.

Pigby, if I was you I would phone again, hopefully you will get it booked this time.
