We are checking in to BWV on July 13, 2010, so we are going to be at our 11-month mark in about 5 weeks from now (SO excited!!). :yay:

We will be booking a standard view 1-bedroom villa for the 4 of us. We would like, if possible, to be able to see some of the Epcot fireworks from our window. The kids would love this...and so would we of course! What is the best way to request a room where we could see the fireworks? We do not care if it is a long walk to the elevators or anything like that. I am also going to request as high a floor as possible.

We will be staying for 10 nights. I know I can only book 7 at a time. Should I wait 3 days after that and then book the other 3 nights? Or should I call daily to book each additional night? Either way is not a problem, since I am home for the summer and always around at 9AM! Just want to make sure we secure our 1BR villa for the 10 nights so we don't have to move mid-trip. Thanks everyone!

I would request "top floor, across from the bus stop". I have requested it that way and always got a great view!

Thanks! I am curious...how is the noise level at this location? We generally go back to the room during the afternoon for a break from the parks and sometimes the kids nap. Would they be able to or are the buses noisy? How about at night?

I suggest you request 'upper floor across from bus stop.' Most of the rooms in this area have at least a partial view of the Illuminations fireworks. x123 are the corner rooms so if you get a room with a higher number, it means you've turned the corner and are now facing the valet parking lot and thus will not be facing Epcot.

This will not guarantee that your view will be unobstructed since there are some large trees in this area. The view is great from the x123 corner rooms but I believe there is a large tree blocking the view from the x121 rooms. And we stayed in 4101 a few years ago and there was a large tree in front of our balcony.

We always get a standard view unit since BWV is our home resort and we love saving points vs. the preferred view, and I always call in 3-day increments and have never had a problem -- we usually go in the summer and in fact will be there in 3 weeks (7/25 - 8/1).

Partial view of fireworks would be great...my kids would be happy to see just a little! Their reaction to it is priceless and I have it on video from last summer when we saw some of the fireworks from our room at Pop Century!

We've never had a noise problem. The times I've stayed there our room was in the second part of the hall, between the bus stop and the pond, 3rd or 4th floor. I was lucky to score 3123 one time, the large corner room (also 2123, 4123). Awesome!

Is the corner room (3123 or 4123) really the best? Should I request to have one of those rooms specifically, or then do I run the risk of not getting the area where you could see the fireworks out your window? Could I tell them I want to be across from the bus stop on the 3rd or 4th floor but that I would prefer either 3123 or 4123? Or is that too much of a request?

I think you will be allowed 2 requests. I would would say "Across from bus stop, top floor, -123 if possible." Your odds of getting a -123 room aren't that great so I don't think you want that as your only request.
