We plan on visiting again next year with friends and want to book a 2 bed villa at BCV, our home resort, for 12-14 days from September 22nd next year. Since this will be at least partially during the F+W festival, do you think we will need to book daily, or would we be able to chance waiting until the end and booking it all together?

Many thanks

Gill

Personally, I'd do this daily if it wasn't too much trouble.

I know the F&W always gets heavily booked, but don't know how critical the 11 month deadline is for it. However, if I was able to get to a phone easily to call daily, I'd do it for peace of mind :)

I'm with Hilary completely on this one.

Since the greater demand for the smaller resorts at 7 months, I believe many owners at those resorts have woken up to the need to plan early to get exactly what they want. Even though my instinct is that you would probably be okay leaving it until the end, I wouldn't take a chance on it.

I agree with Moira. You would PROBABLY be ok to book at the end, but why take the risk?
With free calls to DVC it's better to be sure. I suspect that if you miss a day or two of calls you will be allright.

I booked daily last year for our two bed during October at BCV but this was for seven month window. The calls are free it is just remembering to do it every day.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the replies - you've all said what I sort of thought. I guess I was just being lazy but I think I'll try calling daily....just have to remember to start in October now;)

What do you mean by book daily. I'm thinking of Sept/Oct. 2008 trip and staying at Poly. When do I need to book to be sure to get 3 rooms at that hotel. First timer. All these tricks are confusing. Thanks for your help.

BCV = Beach Club Villas

BCV is a Disney Vacation Club property, and these have booking windows for Vacation Club members. For the Poly (a WDW resort, but not part of the Vacation Club) you don't need to worry about these windows.

However, I don't know how soon you'll need to book the Poly to get the rooms you want, although for 2008, I'm sure you don't need to worry just yet! Good luck with your plans :)

Good luck :wizard: and please come back and let us know how you get on

Thanks for the information. I'm going to love this and learn so much for my trip. Thanks again.

I'd book daily as well - you want to go for 12-14 days but there will be quite a few people who will only want to stay for a couple of days so the rooms might get booked for part of your stay.
