Booking BCV at the 7 month window in Sept/Oct...

Hi,

My family is interested in purchasing into the DVC but we're still undecided as to whether we should purchase SSR through Disney (and get 12 more years of vacations), or try to purchase BCV through resale (access to SAB for our toddler and preschooler). I'm wondering how difficult it would be to make a reservation at the BCV for a vacation in September/October at the 7 month window if we did decide to purchase SSR through Disney instead of BCV points through resale. Any previous experience from current DVC members at booking BCV at the 7 month window would be appreciated.

I own at SSR and was able to book a Sun-Fri stay at a standard view 2 bedroom at the Boardwalk for late Aug into Sep.
2 bedrooms were also available for the Beach Club for these dates, but we opted for the lower point Boardwalk rooms.

October is busy, busy at the Epcot resorts, due to the Food&Wine Festival. You are probably OK for September, but October--that could be tricky. BCV is a small resort.

Buy where you want to stay - unless the extra years are more important than always booking at BCV.

I think you will experience problems at the 7 months window for Oct. But probably not Sept. At least right now. Who knows in 10 years? October used to be a slow month like Sept. Maybe Sept will become busier............
