We are sailing on Fantasy on Saturday (!!!!) for our first Disney cruise and have already booked for a one week cruise on Magic for next May. Now we're thinking of including the week before too so that would be B2B. Will we get the best deal just booking this other week onboard or cancelling the week already booked before we sail and booking both weeks on board? I know there is something about 10% off and also onboard credit?? Maybe?!

For info we are from the UK and book direct with Disney Cruise Line.

Many thanks for any help you can give.

I don't recommend cancelling what you have already booked at this time. Wait until after you cruise to see what they could do for you. B2B used to be the exception to the 1 cruise date for OBB, but there was a very recent thread where someone posted it is no longer allowed and you'll only get the OBB benefits for one leg of the B2B.

Enjoy your cruises!

You'll have a great trip! The best thing to do is "shop around" when you get on board. Tell them that you have a room booked and see if the OBB with OBC would make it less or not. Usually the answer is yes, but they book at the current rates, which may have gone up, meaning your original cruise could cost less than with the 'incentives'.

The other thing to consider is if you want to have the same room for the B2B. There are benefits to this, mainly that you don't have to pack up your stuff! The futures cruise desk can look and see which rooms are vacant for both sailings. Sadly for my B2B next year I face an issue with a booked room and then an GTY with a note in both reservations that I am sailing B2B. Hopefully they'll get me in my same room for both cruises, because for us it is a great one!

I tried to book B2B with 10% off both just last week on the Wonder and was told that they are no longer allowing both cruises to receive the 10% off. Only one would receive the discount. I did not inquire specifically about the onboard credit or reduced deposit though (because what mattered most to me was that 10%!). If I were you i would still ask on the Fantasy and see what they say! Never hurts to ask and then please report back! :)

Have a wonderful cruise!
