Booking Aulani today?

I know others have said they booked this way. We booked the air/rental car package and saved almost $1000 on just the flight and now we have a rental car. Good luck.

Today I was looking at flight for a trip to Aulani (probably not a trip for a couple of years) and flights were $827.20 per person ($4136 for the 5 of us). However, when I looked at a flight/hotel package it was only $747 per person ($3731 for the 5 of us, with hotel). Said the "booking together" savings is $2209... for a grand total of savings of $405.

Would there be a downside to booking this way? I wouldn't even have to check in?

Oh, I hadn't even thought about that!

From which site did you book your air/rental car package?

No problem. Prices have gone up in the last month along with the gas prices.

Good luck on finding airfare and or airfare/car.

thanks wink13. Not planning until summer, '12 but I think I'll start doing a bit of research:)

I called first thing this morning and was able to get a one bedroom villa at Aulani for four nights. I will call on Friday and hopefully add four more nights.

As of this morning - all four views were available. :)

I called this morning (3/25) and booked the remaining four nights for our honeymoon reservation. We now have a one bedroom Island View for eight nights this October!! :)

Where did you book through? I had thought about taking our DD in June 2012 for her graduation. I had looked at Dave's DVD site but I haven't looked at airfare yet. We are AAA members but not DVC members yet. I have gotten some deals at WDW through AAA before. I had also thought about Dreams Unlimited

not sure if you guys have seen this yet, but just came across it and got me super excited about planning our trip next year!!!:banana::banana:

Sooooo looking forward to reading trip reports when the resort opens!!

I was able to book a Ocean View Studio for Thanksgiving Week this year (Nov 19th-26th) at Aulani with no issue at 7 months. DW and I are so excited to visit the resort!!!

yay that is so encouraging! Thanks for sharing!

We're praying for December 10th - 17th. I can't wait to book airfare but am unwilling to do so unless I know for sure we can stay at Aulani.

HI all. We are Aulani owners and we also got bumped. Booked at the 11 month window for grand opening weekend and got the dreaded call. Reserved a studio island view and was given a hotel partial ocean view. MS told me the only difference was no couch and we get daily maid service. I did not know that there are no microwaves in the hotel rooms. Gonna make breakfast harder now. Also we are local residents that live 5 minutes from Aulani. I wonder if I can call back MS to get the breakfasts added on. It has been a couple of months since the switch but I was lead to believe that I had a microwave and a small refrigerator. Thanks
