All things bring equal, which resort has a better likelihood to have availability at the seven month mark:

Boardwalk
BLT
Beach Club

Our home resort is SSR and we have a case of addonitis and we are looking for a new contract. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It is going to depend on season and room type. BWV can be difficult if what you want is studios OR two bedrooms, since all two bedrooms are lock offs....and standard view is almost never available at seven months. But getting something at BWV is easier than getting something at BCV.

BLT will be easier over F&W than either of the Epcot resorts as was said. But other times of year might be different. Again, BLT has standard view that go faster, but getting a lake view isn't too difficult at seven months.

Do remember that BLT has extra years on it and that BLT has a higher point chart.

BLT, based upon current availability for October. BLT studios are wide open for October while Boardwalk and Beach Club are completely sold out.
BC and BW are completely ‘sold out’ for Oct because DVC took a bunch of room out of booking availability- no one seems to know why…but that said…I agree that BLT is the easiest to book (Lake View) at 7 months…

Generally speaking the more villas a resort has, the easier it will be to book there. There are exceptions, BWV & BC, for example, are tough to book in the fall when the food & wine festival occurs at Epcot, because people like to imbibe at Epcot & then stroll back to their villa for the night. Also, lower point cost views go faster than higher cost views, although there are exceptions for highly desirable views like BWV Boardwalk view & BLT theme park view. The relative sizes of the 3 resorts are:
BWV 383/532(max)
BLT 295/428(max)
BC 208/282(max)

Well, not just because of the withdraw. I would not expect BWV or BCV for October in normal times, and especially as Poly2 joins the association making competition even harder.

I would say BCV is hardest out of all 3. BWV has more room types and I have had success getting rooms there when BC was booked.

I agree BLT is best chance at 7 months.

I was wondering why they were completely sold out in Sept & most of October. Although we managed to snag a one bedroom BWV (garden) Oct 1-7th.

It was weird - at @10 months - suddenly (like overnight) Sept and Oct went from full availability (1Br at least) to NOTHING from Sept thru the third week of Oct..

We initially thought it might be construction related but it should be completed by the fall. Has this happened before?

Have been able to snag BWV pool/garden studio (for Oct ) and even a Boardwalk view villa (for Aug) at the 5-7 mark

In order of harder to get to easier to get:
BWV - Boardwalk & Standard Views
BCV
BLT - Standard View
BWV - Garden View
BLT - Other views

Edited, I might be a little off on BLT views, but it will still availability longer than BWV and BCV.

BLT theme park view is something special.

About fifteen years ago they had to replace all the siding (I think it was the siding, another old timer will correct me if I'm wrong) and huge portions of the resort were pulled out of service while that was done as it was really disruptive, including the Fall. The whole project took a long time - several months.

I'm a little surprised they are doing this over F&W with its Epcot resort popularity, but it might be when the supplies, labor, etc was available - or it could have just been someone new enough that scheduled it (or approved the schedule) that didn't realize how disruptive it was to pull rooms in the Fall.
