Booking at AKV before the 7month window

We have a ressie at BCV (our home resort) for October. We'd like to get into the Concierge level 1bed before the 7th month window.

Is it possible to do a point transfer with another member here (DVC)....and give them my BCV pts for and AKL ressie before 7 months?

We've waitlisted in the past, and never get the ressie.

So, I'm trying to avoid buying a 3rd DVC contract for AKL. I'm okay with it, but the DW isn't too hip about it.

I'm not sure, but I think only one transfer is allowed per use year. So while you could give your points to another member, it wouldn't be possible for him to transfer his points to you right away, you both would have to wait until both get into their next UY.

You could agree with an AKV owner for that owner to make a reservation for concierge in your name using his points and in return you would make a reservation in his name using your BCV points. That would not even count as a "transfer" because you are not actually transfering points. You could not actually do a duel transfer of points unless the transfers were in different use years for both of you.

In any event, the real problem I see with that is that it is not going to be easy to find anyone to do that kind of agreement particularly within less than a month so you can make the October reservation.

The second problem is that it is likely concierge is already gone for AKV for October. It is hit or miss most times of year when reserving less than 11 months out but often concierge is completely gone at 11 months out.

drusba - I think your right...that's the kind of track I was wanting to go. It may be too late.

I may just have to buck up for some AKV pts. I'm planning a 2013 Oct. stay there...so, I have some time to get a contract.

I was hoping to maybe get a room this Oct....we've been there twice in the past 1.5yrs and we really, really like AKV. More so than we ever thought.
