booking at 7 months plus a few days

Sorry I havent kept up on this but has the need to book day by day changed? I will book a 2 bed and studio at our home (WL) for 5 nights next July and then try to change to BLT or BCV at 7 mos. Can I call on the first day of the ressie -minus 7mos or should I wait until 5 days later?

the rules completely changed.

call exactly 11 months (and 7 months for nonhome resorts) from check-in (for example, aug 28 if you check-in on july 28) and now you can book up to a week after that with one call. (the downside is that people who are checking in up to a week before you, may have already booked the first night(s) of your trip.
