Booking AP rate after "Best Rate" released

Has anyone booked an AP rate using the old system after the "Best Rate" program came out? If so, did you have to have an AP or voucher to book it using the old system?? Just curious since I'm still hoping for new rates to be released, but I don't have an AP yet.

Nothing since the "best rate" program came out has been released. Last year call in rates for Oct-Dec came out Aug 25th so there is a wait yet to see what happens.

Actually, I was just wondering about anyone who had booked for a reservation before 10/4 using the old system and the current code that is out, but did it after the "Best Rate" program was announced. Were you still able to book without having the actual AP or voucher?

I just booked for 9/28-10/3 the other day (well after the best rate program was released) and I booked with no problem. I am a current AP holder but she never asked for a number (however, my info may be in the system? not sure).

I booked by phone today for November 10-13 at Pop Century. Also not asked for AP number. $88 per night. Rack rate is $109. I asked specifically about the deposit, was told it's refundable up to 5 days out.
