"free" dining is currently available for booking with wdw uk tc for now.
(im in the uk!)::yes::

No use to us, as can't book at the moment and ro is cheaper (for the 2 of us) via disney us site.

Whilst on this thread-Ive read of orbitz- where some resorts are cheaper again.

So, my current thoughts are;

Pros and cons of booking direct with disney?
Pros and cons of booking with orbitz/Expedia etc?

To me, there is no difference for a room-only reservation, especially for 1-2 people (more than 2 is a little more complicated). But as you're seeing, with Orbitz you can often save more money with a promo code.

It's easy to link an Orbitz reservation with My Disney Experience. You can also link your tickets when you purchase those. You'll be eligible for FP+ booking at 60 days out.

So I would choose to save some money :) However, I'm not sure if promo codes are country-specific. Does anyone know if codes that are valid in the US would be valid in the UK?

Sorry, not an answer but another question (related, I think).

What is the cancellation policy when you book through Orbitz? I also heard you had to pay everything up front, is that true?

Thanks....

Yes, you're right. You do have to pay in full up front.

It is fully refundable outside of 5 days before check-in. Within 5 days you'd pay for 1 night (at rack rate) as a cancelation penalty.

Cancellation policy is the same as making a room-only reservation through Disney, fully refundable up to 5 days out and then the cost of 1 night's stay as penalty after that.

Yes, you do pay in full up front.

With Orbitz you are booking a room-only reservation, not a package. So no availability of package add-ons like the dining plan, you don't get the coupon book that comes with package bookings, and you have to buy your tickets separately (that may or may not be a good thing for you)
