Booking An Extra Day at 7/11 Months

We have points at multiple resorts... let's say we booked the nights of September 1st-5th at AKV using AKV points and want to add September 6th at AKV, but using SSR points. Would we be able to call on February 1st (7 months from start of reservation) to add on the day with SSR points at AKV, or would we have to wait until February 6th?

No, it's 7 months from the date you need, so Feb 6th would be your date. You could book Feb 2-6 first with home points, then add the 1 day on Sept 1st for Feb 1st. Sept is not a busy time for DVC.

Policy and reality can vary. I’ve seen reports of it working both ways.

You shouldn't be able to unless all those days were still available so that it could in essence be a 7 month rebooking.
