Booking an 8th day

My parents are DVC members and are going book a trip in a couple of days for next year at their home resort Bay Lake Towers. It looks like they can only book 7 days. If they wanted to add an 8th day (they do have the points) how does that work?

Assuming you are booking when the 11 month window opens:

The day after the 7 day vacation is booked, go to the Member Dashboard and select the 'Modify' button. That takes you to the booking engine and there you can modify the dates for original reservation to be 8 nights. If you are booking at the 11 month window, there will be no problem getting that 8th night.

We usually stay 10 or 11 nights, we always book the max 7 nights allowed right at 11 months & then add the rest of the nights a few days later.
Some are having tech issues w/ the modify tool & if that happens you can just call MS the day after you get your first 7 nights & have them add the last night.
