Booking air on internet

We recently booked our flights through Delta and now I noticed that the price went down $27. Is it possible to call and get a credit for the difference or don't they do that when you book online? $27 may not seem like much but it adds up when there are four of us going to Orlando. Any help/info would be appreciated. Thanks

Delta has never done anything for me when that happened. I would still call them and give it a shot. The worst they can say is no :)

A lot of airlines will have a change fee. At one time it was $25 and then went up to $50. It would make sense to change it if there was a big drop. However, when it was less than $50 per ticket, often, financially it wouldn't make much sense.

I think in today's environment you need to call and ask the question. Some airlines are being very accommodating. Others are sticking to the policy. I haven't flown Delta lately so I'm not sure about what they do.

Can't hurt to call and ask the question. Might save you over $100.

We booked our flight on Delta on line back in June. Around the
end of September we noticed prices dropped about $25.00. We
called Delta and they re-issued our e-tickets, gave us vouchers
for the difference and did not charge for the change. Every little
bit helps. You should call them.

Have a great time!

I would definitely try to call the airline directly. We usually book through Orbitz now, and I've never tried to call about a price drop, but I've called many time to find out our seat assignments (which Orbitz makes but which is not noted on the paperwork) and, sometimes, to get better seats as Orbitz always seems to stick us in the back of the plane.

A few of the Internet fares are final, no refund or voucher if a cheaper fare should be offered later. There should be a page of rules for the fare you are about to book online, usually a blue keyword you can click.

Occasionally if you are booking for the family, the reservation system might not give you the lowest fare for any of the seats if there are not enough seats in the low fare allotment for the entire family.

But sometimes the person on the phone may make a mistake and give you the voucher even if you are not entitled to it, or deny you the voucher if you are entitled. So don't be afraid to call later in the day and see if another agent answers your question differently.

You should know how to "print screen" or otherwise get a paper printout for anything you buy or book on line, second best is knowing how to save the data on your PC hard drive. Otherwise there would be no way of proving what you ordered or paid for.

Our Continental flights for Feb went down almost $300.00. They are sending us vouchers that will divide that amount between the 4 tickets purchased.
