Booking ADRs for group of 23

Hi everyone

This August is our 10th anniversary (we married at the Wedding Pavilion in August 2001) and we are staying at SSR for 16- 20 nights with a large group of our friends and family to celebrate. Mid stay we are going on the 3 nights Disney Dream cruise too. Very excited! We live in England and everyone except 3 members have visited WDW before.

My ADR window opens mid February so I am starting to think about strategies.
We have free dining so it makes sense to book as many ressies as possible at 180 days.

I know I cannot book online for the whole group in one ressie. I may book online for two groups at same time. Not too worried if we don't all sit together. Or I can call the ADR phone line for the whole group. Anyone find this works ok?

Anyone tried the Grand Gathering program? I was thinking of booking the Illumination package for our actual anniversary.

If anyone has and advice on booking for such a big group, I would really appreciate it.
