Hi everyone

I'm in the early stages of planning my disney wedding just starting to consider all the packages etc

Just wondering how far in advance you expects recommend booking the wedding? Not planning on getting married until 2009/2010.

Thanks girls

You can start calling DFTW now and ask questions. You won't be able to officially book your wedding till 12 months out (for custom non ball room) and 8 months for the customs using ball rooms and intimate weddings. I know that there are some brides on here that aren't getting married till 09 and they are already in contact with their planners.

I started talking to DFTW 2.5 years away from my wedding (in January 2009), was assigned to a site coordinator right away, and they have been soooooooooo helpful ever since (at least as helpful as they can be 1.75 years away!)

I say it can't hurt to give it a try- at the very least you'll get a lot of great marketing materials from them!

Good luck! :thumbsup2

Def. call now.. I called 2 years before my wedding and they were very helpful on giving me some information

What kind of information can they give you? I'm 15 months out and I really want to call them but I'm wary of making a nuisance of myself until we are booked :(

Just wondering the people that have called early are you planning intimates or customs.

I'm planning one of the Couture weddings, but I'm sure if anyone called they would be more than willing to help, perhaps send the DVD, and maybe even pass you on to a site coordinator if you have more specific questions!!

Let's see... first I was assigned to a site coordinator (Kristi Davis) and then they sent me an informational DVD. I was able to call or email Kristi whenever I wanted (she's really good about getting back the same day- even on the days she's not in the office or not working at all!) I've asked questions from how many people venues hold, what time she suggest having my wedding, what colors she thought would go well, what to have for a rehearsal dinner, what sort of decorations can be used for an Illuminations Dessert Party, could I change the flowers in the decor (because I don't like the scent), what to do with children at the wedding, to using outside vendors, etc etc. She also sent me some marketing material and sample menus for my Simply Chic wedding, and passed along a few of my questions to David Tutera himself! :thumbsup2 Basically, she's answered a lot of questions that I probably should've left for my wedding planner, and I appreciate every moment she took time out of her day to help me! I'm actually kind of sad to move on to a different person when I get assigned to my WP soon!!! :sad2:

I say call as soon or as close as you want! It's their job to help any future DFTW bride... and I think you'll be surprised at what they can do or answer for you early on!
