We just decided to go, and need to book a place to stay soon. Originally, we were going to stay offsite at Windsor hills, where we've stayed before. But, in the end, we decided we cannot stay an entire week, only 4 nights. Therefore, we are looking at going back to staying onsite.

Budget is a concern, so we are looking at values. We cannot get the free dining plan at a value, but have found that the room discount still applies. Also, we are not wanting to stay in a preferred room, a standard will be fine.

With the information I have so far, here are my preferences:

ASmu: Broadway or Jazz

ASmo: Might Ducks

POP: 50's

Are any of these preferred buildings? What can you tell me about the bowling pin pool and the mighty ducks pool? Are these regular pools, splash areas, kidding pools? Any thoughts on the pro's/con's of these locations?

POP 50's is just as close as some of the preferred rooms. I stayed there in a pool facing room on the 3rd floor. It was great.

I can only speak for Pop. The bowling Pin pool is a regular (and large) pool. There are also some standard rooms in the 60s section.
I always choose Pop as there is no bus sharing. Pop is my go to value and I've always been happy with it.

My two cents.... Go with POP for one big reason... POP does not share busses with any other resort. All 3 All Star resorts share busses. If you're not using the busses to get to the parks then I still say POP, it's just a fav of mine for a value resort. :) Plus the 50's buildings are still close enough to the Hippy Dippy pool that you can use either pool.

The Allstars do not always share buses. That's a huge myth out there. They only share during slow times. Now at Pop u might have to wait for 2 or 3 buses to cycle through before u can get on one. I'd stay at AS Music in a heart beat. No more Pop for us. Too big & way to crowded everywhere.

I don't know how different the crowds are from Oct to Nov but for what it is worth when we were there last Nov it wasn't busy at all. Of course we were not there Thanksgiving week, which has high crowds. We never had buss issues, guess we were lucky. Timing is everything.
