I was just reading the sticky on how you can't make payments to a "room only" reservation made online.

Can you make payments if you make a "Package Deal" online??

Also, If I make the reservation online, and a code comes out, can I call and just add the code to the reservation or will they have to change the whole reservation to accept a code or AAA discount??

In the past, I did make an original ressie online and when I called to ask to make a payment they had to change the reservation to a different confirmation number, etc.. to accept the payments.. They even had to credit me my deposit and start over with a deposit on my credit card..

I'm not sure about making payments, but when I priced a package on their site they had the option to pay $200 down, so I would assume you can pay it off.

If you book a package with Disney on line and want to apply a AAA discount you can't. In order to book a "package" with a AAA discount, you MUST book with a AAA travel agent. But...if a general population code comes out you should be able to call Disney and see if it can be applied to your existing package.

I called and made reservations today the guy told me you just have to pay for 1 night stay but you have to pay for tickets up front. If you use AAA you have to pay all off 45 days before you leave.

This may be true if you book a room only ressie and buy your tickets separately. The OP was asking about "packages." All Disney packages, whether booked through Disney (online or phone) AAA or regular travel agent, will require a $200 deposit and remainder due 45 days prior to your trip.

Thank you.. So, it's only a room-only that you don't need to pay till check-in?
I'm still wondering if you can make payments on WDW's website if you book a package.. :confused3
Thank you! Thank you! :thumbsup2

Yes you can, but I prefer to call and pay mine as I like receving a confirmation # for the cc that moment. :sunny:

For room only you pay for 1 night now, and you can pay the rest at check in.

I haven't reserved a package online. but my understanding is that if you book online, you can't make payments online.

You can add the AAA discount to a room only you make over the phone, not over the internet (I just found this out the hard way)

This is what they still do. So I had my credit card tied up for 9 days while the credit went back to the card company. I had a new CM who told me it was instant and then tried to charge the new (discounted) reservation onto the card and it wouldn't take it. 10 days and 10 calls to WDW later I paid my deposit. It was very stressful! Call and make the ressie if you even MIGHT want to add a code. Less Hassle!

This way you can also make payments if you want to since, like you, I have read that web ressies can not be pre-paid. I really want to be done paying the room when I get there.

I just made my package on the WDW website for 10 nights in June.
After paying my $200 deposit, I logged out..
I then logged back in with my reservation No. and telephone number. My reservation came up and it gave me the option to make a payment of at least $20.00.. So, it is possible to make payments on the WDW Website. Just thought I would let anyone know..

Yes you can make package payments online. I did this for our trip last year. I made the reservation with the $200 downpayment and made payments up until the date they gave that the balance had to be paid by (45 days prior to check-in). When the free dining code arrived, I phoned the reservation line and they changed my reservation to reflect the code. When I made the payments online I would check my account online and there would be an immediate $1 charge for Disney on my account and the money was taken within about 2 days ( I used my Visa check card). It was all really easy.

This may be a no brainer, but if you want to split your stay at 2 resorts, do you have to buy 2 separate packages??? Two seperate deposits??
