DH and I are going to WDW in May and staying at OKW with my parents. Since we will be there for mother's day, one day during the trip I'll be taking my mom to breakfast and then for massages at the GF spa. While we're doing this, DH and my dad would like to play golf. How do I go about scheduling this? And does anyone know how much it costs?

TIA,
Melissa

You can book tee times and find out about pricing here.

The pricing varies greatly depending on the course, the time of year you play, and the time of day you play.

If you are a Disney Visa holder, they sometimes have discounts available, so check for current offers.

If you do not have access to a car, you can arrange transportation via cab through bell services. They will give you a voucher so you don't have to pay for the cab. When you are done with the game, go to the pro shop, and they will call you a cab and give you a return voucher.

Thanks-- any suggestions on which golf course to use? They will probably just do 9 holes.

I only played Oak Trail, the nine hole walking course. The course was a bit beat up, but it was flat with some long holes.

I hear that Lake Buena Vista is really nice, and the Palm and Magnolia as well.

I'm not sure if they will let you book just nine holes, though.

Another good site with info on golf is www.wdwgolf.com

DH plays golf at Disney a lot. We stay at OKW, also, and he likes playing at LBV. One thing that's especially fun is that you can often see your villa from the golf course. When we took DS one year, he had his picture taken on the golf course with our villa in the backround.

Palm and Magnolia are the oldest 2 courses and host a PGA event every october. It is not very long by todays standards and a very mature course. Kinda cool to play in the fall and winter since your ball could be lying in a tiger woods divot.

Next would be Lake Buena Vista. It hosts an LPGA event evry summer. It is the easiest of the 5 18 hole courses. It's IMHO the most scenic since it weeves it way thorugh OKW, SSR, and the back side of POR. It;s my favorite.

Then we come to eagle and osprey. To very very difficult courses that host a senior event overy spring. To show how difficult, #17 par 3 on osprey has a 230 yard water cary with little or no bail out area on the right.

Oak is just a 9 hole excutive walking course...not worth the trouble.
