I need help understanding how this works. I've looked online and can't seem to find how it all works. I apologize if I've missed it and re-asking this question! I see on ADR where you can book a fantasmic package, but the only dining time open for the place we want is for 12:00 noon. So would we eat there for lunch and then go back with our vouchers for seating for the show? Also, do you find this is worth using a meal credit for? Thank you so much for the advice!! I love DIS and find so much info. on here that is helpful :wave2:

Call Disney Dining, they may have other openings. But yes, I would definitely do it again. We just did one at Momma Melrose Monday and it was wonderful! You go to your meal, they give you a voucher, then you present the voucher at the special entrance to F! (near the exit of Tower of Terror). We got great seats, however we were still there about 45 minutes before showtime

Remember you have to specifically book the Fantasmic Package. Just having a reservation at Mama Melrose on a Fantasmic day won't get you into the show early.

30 minutes before the show starts, they start allowing the general public to sit in the reserved section. So you should be there before then if you want your pick of seats in the section. 45 minutes out is usually pretty good.

Here's a link that will explain what's involved.

When you are finished dining at the restaurant that you selected, your server will give you a voucher for the show.

Sometime in advance of 30 min before showtime you will enter the Fantasmic amphitheatre through the reserved entrance (you'll have to have the entire party together and show your voucher to the CM at the gate) and have a seat in the reserved section.

We've used the F. dining package every time but once to see the show. We always have a TS meal at the park anyway, and it is a great way to avoid the lines which can start to form as early as 1 1/2 hrs before show time. And the shows do sell out on a regular basis. We've seen this several times.

Another thing to keep in mind. If the theatre is reaching capacity, they will open the reserved section(s) to the general public 30 min before show time, so you need to be in your seats before this.

One of the things I like best is that you also get an appitizer if you are on the dining plan. So yes it does make it worth it to use a dining credit.

I wouldn't do it because the seats they give you are the worst possible seats and you still have to show up at least 30 minutes early to claim those!

Might as well show up a little earlier and get better seats.

I am still kind of confused. We have the Fantasmic dining package reserved at HBD when we go in September but will be paying for our meal out of pocket vs using the dining plan. Is there some sort of minimum I have to spend or can I just have the cobb salad and appetizer as my meal as part of the package?

Keep in mind that all the seats are great, except maybe the first half dozen rows or so. These may can wet/soaked, depending on wind direction and speed, from the water curtains. The rest of the seating is all great because of the 3 water screens, good for left, center or right.

It is a fixed price of somewhere betwee $50 - $60 per adult depending on the season and much less for children at the HBD. You're entitled to an app, entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage. You can order all the courses or only an app, but the package price stays the same.

If you click on the link in post #4 it lists the prices.

Are you able to order off the regular menu with the Fantasmic package or is it a set menu type thing?

I have children with Autism. Would this package give us the shortest wait
in line to see the show or is their a better alternative?

Are you trying to avoid waiting in line while standing? The package would help you avoid the standing line. You would still have to sit in the theater at least 45 minutes to a half hour before the performance.

If you are looking for a way to walk into the theater and get a seat just before the show starts, the package will not do that for you.
