Booking a disney vaction club resort using RCI points

Not sure if this is the right place but can I ask, if I book a disney vacation club resort via RCI do I get all the benefits that I would if I was a disney vacation club member, do I get early booking of fast passes, magic bands ect ect?

You will get all of the perks of being an onsite guest -- Disney Express from the airport and back, free theme park parking, Extra Mickey Hours, the ability to charge to your room and have purchases delivered to your room, etc. You will get magic bands and be able to book FP+'s early (you have to link your park tickets to your room reservation on My Disney Experience).

You will NOT get DVC member discounts or perks.

Also be aware that you will have to pay a $95 fee to DVC on checkin. That is in addition to whatever exchange fee you paid RCI.

In addition, I think you will be eligible to purchase the Disney Dining Plan if you want. We haven't used DDP in years, so I'm not up to speed on it.

When you get your confirmation from RCI, it will give you the phone number for DVC Member Services. (We don't publish it here on the DIS). Give them a call if you have any questions about DDP or any of the other onsite perks.

Even DVC members don't get all the perks if they trade in through RCI but the savings is worth it. Remember there's an extra $95 fee to DVC on top of the exchange fee.

The DVC pricing for the 2014 Dining Plan is $58.66 for guests aged 10+ and $18.88 for those aged 3-9.

The 2015 Dining Plan prices are $60.64 for ages 10+ and $19.23 for ages 3-9.

RCI guests can purchase the plan thru DVC Member Services - you should receive the phone number from RCI once your reservation has been made. There is also a Deluxe Dining Plan and a Quick Service Dining plan available. The one priced above includes one counter service meal, one table service meal and one snack per person per night. All guests on the reservation must have the plan for all nights of the reservation.

We have two 2BR units coming up and we are trying to decide whether to get the DP for one unit but will not for both. You must get it for every person there during the week and for all 7 nights. Historically we've gotten the DP at times with exchanges, once with 3 villas at one time getting the DP for 2 but not for one and two different plans.
