 Can you book your land and sea vacation separately? I think I would get a better deal because then I could use a code to save money on the hotel in WDW. What are the pros and cons about doing this? Is there anything I need to know such as how would I get to Port Canaverale to catch the ship? Would the cruise line bus still pick us up at the resort if we didn't book a package? Any info. would be helpful.

Yes, you can book each part separately. I priced out our 7 night land/sea both ways. I did not come up with that much of a difference. So I opted for the package, mainly for the convience. To answer your question if you can get ground transfers, from the airport to the resort, I believe so. But do not quote me on it. There are alot of different options for transfers. Maybe someone with a little more experience on this part can help.

We made our own land arrangements several times and have saved money every time. Of course, I am a discount-seeker and am also a Disney Club member. But I prefer to do it that way because of the savings and because I have total control of my plans. You can purchase transfers on the cruise line bus, but we prefer to take Happy Limo because the resort buses tend to leave rather late and we like getting there early. With a towncar service, you can pick your own time.

You didn't mention how long your cruise would be- we are going to WDW for three days prior to our 7 day cruise-I was able to find the $99 deal at the Swan or Dolphin for the days prior to the cruise-we have Yourride picking us up upon in Orlando-taking us to hotel-picking us up at hotel the day of the cruise-taking us to the port then picking us up friom the ship to go back to Orlando to come home-this saved us alot of money verses transfers since there will be 10 of us---
