Booking a cruise and hoping it's canceled

Personally, I feel it’s selfish to take advantage of the current situation for personal benefit. That’s just me though.
Not sure I agree. It's not like getting a discount on a cruise hurts anyone else (e.g., like toilet paper or mask hoarding). And I'm not sure I see getting a 125% credit any different than booking at any of the special *GT or Florida rates they released for summer cruises--in both cases, you're getting a discount due to COVID. Just like if you take the risk of cruising in peak hurricane season and get a nice discount when your cruise is cancelled due to a terrible hurricane.

DCL "takes advantage" of school calendars to charge close to double in summer and on school breaks than what they charge during the school year. And they have raised prices massively in recent years, while cutting benefits? I think they can afford a discount here or there. It's not like they're little orphan Annie here!

Even if it continues, I have heard reports that prevailing rates on some itineraries for rebooking often end up being more than if it were booked on opening dates. It's certainly not a sure win bet.

LAX
I looked at Bermuda for October. Booked a cruise at beginning of May and of course cancelled and rebooked for the Bermuda one. Bermuda price went up.

Where do you see the 125 % FCC? I am sure it was there but currently I only see 100 % future credit.

Disney cancelled my May cruise and gave me 125%.
