We will be at DC on Saturday, May 4th. My husband would like to book a cabana. We are a little over 4 weeks out now so if I call now it will cost more. Should I just wait until 4/13 and take a chance that there will still be one or should I book now and pay more? WWYD?

The cabana itself does not cost more if you book now. The difference is that you can't book a cabana alone at this point (you would have to book a package that comes with additional inclusions over and above the cabana).

Only you can decide if its worth it to you to pay for the additional inclusions to guarantee yourself a cabana for your day at DC. The Celebration Package is your cheapest option:

http://www.discoverycove.ca/Plan/PackageDetail.aspx?id=681

From the website, over and above your cabana rental, you would receive the following extras:

•A buoy with personalized message delivered by a dolphin
•Discovery Cove Signature Tote Bag
•Choice of deluxe photo frame or plush toy
•25% off your choice of photo package (Adventure or Ultimate)

If you are okay with possibly missing out, then hold off and see what happens. If a cabana rental is a must, then book the celebration package + cabana and sleep easy knowing its all taken care of.

We had a cabana rental for one of our visits, and no cabana rental for the other. We had a marvellous time on both occasions. That said, we loved having the private cabana last August, particularly when that visit fell during the super-hot summer season and we needed to get out of the blistering sun now and again. :beach:

Yes, thank you. I didn't word that correctly. I realize that you get "more" if you book at this point. I don't really care about the extras but I guess I'm just wondering what are the chances that all of the cabanas are gone at the 3 week mark?

Never mind - I just realized it was pretty silly to miss out on a cabana over a silly $50, considering what the whole day at DC costs us! I booked it. :cool1:
