Booking a 2 Bedroom in May 06? Availability?

We are new members (still in the paperwork process). We are buying at SSR. We'd like to take some friends with us in mid-May of 2006 and book a 2 bedroom unit at BWV, BCV, or VWL (in that order of preference). Is May a busy time for DVC? We were quite surprised to get our choice of a studio at VWL for Nov 05, so what are our chances for May?

May is not a busy time. We just returned from a stay in a Standard View 1B at BWV which was booked at 7 months. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting one of those resorts if you call early.

I agree - just call as soon as your 7 month window opens.

Assume you know that all the 2 bedrom units at the BWV are lock offs - that means the second bedrooms all have 1 queen bed a sleep sofa.

THe BCV and the VWL do have some dedicated 2 bedroom units with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. Those do tend to get booked before the 7 month window opens.

But to repeat, you shouldn't have a problem booking a 2 bedroom for May at any of the resorts you mention if you call right at the 7 month window.

Thanks everyone. What a relief. This is a first time visit for my good friend and her young daughter. They both really deserve a break in life and I want to make this the best trip possible for them. I'm glad to hear that we should be able to get what we want.

The earlier in May the better. As you reach the middle of May you have more southern schools out, the last week coming up to Mermorial Day progressively gets more difficult. That being said, if you jump on it right at 7 months, you should be OK.

Well... I WISH I could go during the first week of May, but due to my work schedule, I cannot take vacation during the first 2 weeks of the month. We will be arriving on May 14th. I will just hope for the best. Honestly, I do have preferences, but we will stay anywhere that has availability. Its all Disney, right?? LOL
