I need to book a friend at the Boardwalk Aug 17 for a week.. I need to use my bcv points in january because of the 7 month window..any expierence either good or bad having problems booking at that 7 month window..i know standards are going to be out but i will book him a studio preferred if available..jsut checking if i should worry about them having no inventory for me. i am already booked myself in a 1 bedroom for 12 days:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

You may or may not get it on the first try. Chances are that if you don't get it, that it will come through on the wait list. Have you considered booking something for him/her at BCV and then switching it to BWV when/if it becomes available?

i am staying at the bwv for 12 nights and he wants to stay with us..so i didnt book him athe bcv..i have 46 points still left at he bwv but i didnt want to book him partially..maybe i should do that..any luck booking partials and than adding on later to join the reservations..thanks

I say to follow Pam's advice. Maybe even book at couple of the nights with the BW points you have left, then book the rest at the BCV. At worse, you end up with your friend staying at the BCV for only part of the time. They are really close to the BWV's anyways. That way you get to visit each other and share the best of each resort. At best you get the room at the 7 month window and switch the whole reservation to the BWV. Even if you go on a waiting list, it has a good chance of coming thorugh for that time of year.

Nope. I have booked at 7 months for the BWVs when we stayed there in early January a few years ago. I have had no problem booking at 3 weeks. I know some folks here at the DIS have had some booking issues, but I am happy to say that I have always gotten exactly what I want in terms of bookings...dates, locations, unit size etc.
