Booking 2 Restaurants For Same Time

So we're a family of 4, I've got an ADR for O'hana for me and my oldest son, my wife wants to take my youngest son to another restaurant at the same time but MDE doesn't seem to like that. It lists both reservations as 2 people but says we need to cancel one as there is a conflict. I know it has to be possible to do this, what am I missing?

You just need to call, or set up a separate MDE account for DW.
Once I called, somehow the CM on the phone "fixed" it, so we could do separate ADRs.
