Well, the wife and I have taken the plunge and have booked! (Yay) We will be staying at the All Star Music for 10 nights on the 9th Nov and with flights, 14 day tickets and $150 "free" gift card it came in just over £2k for the two of us! I also mentioned we'd be coming for our wedding anniversary (you never know if that will get us any extra!)

- Do you think we've got value for money?
- Are there any supermarkets where we can get cereals, snacks etc
- Is the All Star Music nice?
- What would you do on your first full day there?
- Was thinking of doing a balloon ride for our anniversary, but do you have anything that you have done/would recommend?

Cheers guys!

-if that's with flights, yes, I think you got great value for money! I think we paid not much less than that for two of us for 15 nights at ASMu about 6 years ago!
-Not sure about supermarkets, but yes there are if you are driving there. If not, as we don't, I order mine online for delivery to the resort. Every year and never had a hassle.
-That depends on the day of the week. We go for the park with morning EMH and then hop to a late opening one for the evening
-Its the only value we ever stayed at but we loved it and had a fantastic time. Bus service was great, staff super friendly, rooms well serviced, plenty activities and a great atmosphere. The food court had lots of variety too.

The other thing is I'm not a small bloke (6'3 and a bit of a mid section spread) and we're going on BA in economy - so how comfortable will I be?

No, we are getting the magical express, I'm interested in the online groceries, how would you go about ordering them?

BA economy is just like VA economy. If you look at the airline you last flew with and check the seat pitch vs the BA one, you will find there is not much difference. If you are only adults and there are no restrictions barring you from getting exit row seats, just be at the airport early to drop your bags/check in and see if you can book extra legroom seats.

I don't order groceries (as in perishable fresh produce) For those who do, Garden Grocer is a popular choice. There is a minimum spend for delivery, which I belive is around $25. Someone else will be able to help with the finer details as I have not used them.

I order things like cereal bars, trail mix, sun creams and water and I just do it all on amazon.com. If you go onto the US site and you already have a UK amazon account all your information will be there and usual login details will work.

That's an excellent price. I just paid nearly 2k for PE Virgin FLIGHTS ONLY for me and DD and thought I'd done well! You win!!!!!! Have a great, great holiday. Great deal :)

Excuse my ignorance on this, but do you order them before you go? In which case how do you know what room you are getting?

Hi the groceries are left with the bell boys when you check in they get them for you and take them with you to your room with your luggage garden grocers where great would recommend them

When you place the order, you put your resort's delivery address in and next to or beneath your name when you complete the delivery address, you add either your reservation number or your check in date.

So it would look something like this:

Jane Smith (Arrival 9/27/14)
Res # 123456789012
Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter
2210 West Buena Vista Drive
Lake Buena Vista
etc etc

When I arrive at the check in desk, there is always a note on my reservation to say that there is a package for me. They will either give it to you then and there or may have to bring it across from wherever they store it. (We stay at POFQ and they store the deliveries at POR so I leave it for the next day and they just drop it in my room).

I order about 5 days before we leave. Nothing I order is urgent for the first day or so.
