One mother's day when I lived in FL my mom came down and we went to WDW. We stayed at POR and loved it. I think of all the resorts it is the one where you least feel the business of WDW. Even the values have more traffic because so many people come for the restaurants.

I have only done Mods twice, I'm usually Victor Value when I am going down but when I was an AP holder I used the discount to stay at POR and CSR. Both are nice. I prefer CSR because I like the theming and like the busy feel of the resort but for going down with family POR is probably a better choice for the quiet.

If you have a free morning take a jog along the river on the trails. It is not a long run but it is really nice and the trails are pretty deserted early in the morning.

Enjoy...Riverside is nice. I love being able to take the boat to Downtown Disney. Not a quick ride but more relaxing than the buses for sure.

POR is our favorite resort, the pool is a lot of fun and the trials are beautiful. Great place to walk or go for a run. The walk to POFQ is also not that far if you wanted to check that area out as well. The food is really good on the POR side and if you are going to check out Bob, I would suggest you get there a little early because the place fills up very quickly after he gets going.
He is a hoot, your family will love him.

We're down there those exact dates. We'll be over at Kidani. Maybe we'll manage to cross paths. I love POR and POFQ. One of the things I miss about joining DVC is staying there. If you find yourself with a few free minutes try fishing with a cane pole. The kids will love it

You mean like Gator Land? I'm pretty sure that is the big draw for central Florida tourism.
