I just booked a condo in Windsor Hills and the contract says the A/C has to stay on 75 if you try to lower it or the doors or windows are open the A/C unit could freeze or fail. We will be there in the heat of August and like to go in and out on the balcony as well I'm a little concerned this could be a problem is this the norm for Windsor Hills or possible just this condo? Thanks, Linda

There was another thread awhile back on this topic with additional feedback. You may be able to search for it if no feedback. I will try to find.

A very Good Question

It is not just the condo that you are about to rent .... it would apply to all condos & villas.

You have thought about the rule & guide line .... which made you think ... well done

But also you said that you like to go out onto the balcony ........ and to me this might me think....

you might leave the doors & windows open .. So think it through......

An Air conditioner keeps the room to required temp. and as that temp. is reached the aircon slows down or stops

But if you Leave windows & doors open.......... Your AirCon . ..., starts full on & stays on ...

As you try to Cool down ... Florida.

..... So keep doors & windows closed turn on Circulating Fans ( If installed ) & let the Aircon do its Job

We rent every year f on the same owners in WH, and yes, it's part of the contract. I will say though, each room also has a ceiling fan and while my family is accustomed to a slightly cooler setting on the AC, with the ceiling fans on and the thermostat set to 75, it is comfortable. We also go in the middle of the summer heat and at times I would wish we could lower it to 71 or 70, but we adjusted and it didn't get unbearable. Go for a swim and let the ceiling fans and AC cool you down.

Good Information thank you! Linda

Thanks for the link to the thread, I did a search before posting but didn't find this one. Linda
No problem! I only remembered it because I had posted a response to it (my rental company did not have a lock on it) so it was in my thread history.
