Booked Southwest, decided not to wait

Well I booked our flight to WDW this morning.

I've been watching Southwest for flights from Hartford or Providence since they extended their schedule to our time frame (9/28 - 10/4)

I was hoping for a better fare but nothing was opening up in the way of internet specials.

Our total RT came to $239, I will continue to watch and see if something cheaper opens up, but I didn't want to take a chance any longer.

I also bowed to the pressure and bought. $198 returm from Manchester, NH. Sep 19 and return Sep 30.

I'm also going to book our flight to Orlando now. We are also planning a trip to Southern California (to visit family AND DL), and a ding fare to Burbank came up this morning for $84 one way (it's usually over $200 one way). I immediately tried to book fares for us. Well, we can only fly on a Tuesday, and there are no non-stop flights left.

I would hate to think that I waited forever for a great Ding rate to Orlando to come out and there are no non-stop flights left, or we have to fly out very late that day. I would rather spend the extra couple $100's to get a good flight time AND non-stop. I've seen good Ding flights out there before, but I'm not sure I want to risk it.

Ding rates just came out for Providence today but only until Aug 30th. $44 one way. I am not sure how long it would take for Sept rates to start rolling out but I have learned from experience to get the best Ding rate, book your trip starting and ending towards the end of the same month. I have also learned to book one way only and not round trip since you don't save any money and you can at least change one way with a DING rate if the other is sold out or DING isn't offered. We gave in too booking from Providence (Sept. 22-26). I paid $235 RT for one ticket. I had a free flight from my SW Visa that I used too. If the DINGS come out, I will cancel and rebook. I will pay the same for 2 flights with the DING that I paid for one plus get my free flight back. Hope it works!!!
