We just decided last week to go on next week's 3 day Wonder cruise (1/30). It will be our first Disney cruise. Because we booked so late, we were told we would need to pick up our cruise documents at the port. Has anyone else ever had to do this? Do we go to a special line or just the regular line? What are the "cruise documents"? Do they take a long time to fill out? Is there anything we need to know ahead of time?

Thank you so much!

On my last cruise, we picked up docs at the pier. Unfortunately, it was not Disney. I am sure it should be the same. The key is, stay calm and just "ask". There are always plenty of people at the lines to expedite a fast check-in. Tell someone you need to pick up documents, they will direct you. We were given the forms needing to be filled out. How many people are going? If the 2 adults start filling them out, you should have no trouble filling out your own as well as kids forms. Actually, the lady who gave us the the forms directed us to clear very quickly. We, like you, got last minute tickets. Not only did we have to pick up tickets, but our plane was delayed!! We got to that port at 3pm! Talk about nervous:eek: Try to get there really early to avoid that extra stress. But you should be fine. :D

Incharge, Thank you! I should have known by the "name" that you would put me at ease. I will have DH help me fill out our 2DSs' forms so we can finish more quickly.

My sister and BIL decided to sail with us last April on 4 days notice//we booked them thru AAA//DH and dropped them and our son at the terminal and went to park the cars//they were checked in and ready to board by the time we got back to the terminal//just be sure you bring all the right docs with you, i.e. the birth certs with the raised seals and/or passports and you won't have a problem//have a great time on your cruise!

padams,
Yes, you will be fine. I loved my "last minute cruise" so much because it was spur of the moment, got a deal for a Panama Canal 8 day for less than $800 total for both of us! We got one of those French Door rooms where the lifeboats block your view, but because they stopped letting you open those doors, I called down and mentioned that I was told that the doors open and we would at least be able to get fresh air, well they moved us to a balcony room on the veranda deck! That was too awesome. Could not pass that up. What I liked most was that you don't have alot of time before it is time to go. I booked 1 1/2 weeks before sailing. This was over the Thanksgiving week this year. Let me tell you, I was like a chicken with my head cut off trying to dig out my summer clothes, getting mani and pedicures, etc. Luckily my passport and other documents were still in the folder because I had just gotten back from a 10 day cruise from Oct 3-13! (Luckily I have alot of vacation time from work) This trip has me agonizing all the way to September. How I will do this, I don't know. My daughter said that I am the worse when it comes to cruising. I absolutely love cruising the message boards. I get happy just reading about other peoples excitement and tips. Well I had better go to sleep now. Have a great trip and please let me know how it was.

padams,

WELCOME ABOARD!!!

My DW and myself will be on that cruise also. We booked in the beginning of january. Couldn't pass up the great pricing. Wanted to go on the AP cruise the week before but couldn't swing it with work schedule.

This will be our second Disney cruise on the Wonder. 1st was in October 02. Really enjoyed it so booked another 7day for March 04 while on board for the stateroom credit.

As far as doc's. Just make sure you have a picture ID/ driver's license or passport for you and your husband. If you are using drivers licenses you will also need Official birth Certifiicates for yourselves ( raised seals). You will also need official birth certificates for your children.

The kids clubs on board are great. After you board and have lunch. Go down to Deck 5 and register the kids into the clubs. They are grouped by age. They will give you a pager so you can be contacted while on board.

Food in the dining rooms is surperb but if you want to do the adults only dining room (palos) you will need to schedule that also starting around 1-1:30 pm in one of the clubs (Usually Wavebands) There is a small extra charge for this ($5.00/pp) added to your stateroom account.

You will also need to put down on your doc's a charge card number as the ship is totally money (paper) less. Any extra chargers (drinks, gifts, bingo, pictures, etc) is charged to your room account and then when those chargers reach about $200 they are debited against the charge card on record.

If there are any other questions I can answer for you just post away.

Have fun and welcome aboard again

Thanks KennyK! DSs, 5yo and 7yo, don't know that we are going on the cruise. We are picking them up after school next Wed. and heading to the airport. They (and DH and I) will be so excited!

I have read back through almost all of the threads on the dis cruise line forum so I feel somewhat prepared.
