I booked REAS through Sue Ellen at Dreams and now I've got to tell her when to make my ressies.

I know we'd like to request that we are in Lumiere's for formal night (we'll be on the 11/27 Eastern Magic).

When would you suggest getting our massages? When should we schedule Palo brunch and dinner?

Help me! I'm sooo overwhelmed!

We're on the Oct 16 Eastern and have booked the REAS also...alas, I can be of no help. Just found out they've switched formal/informal nights, and did not take certain events into account, so now have a mess on my hands and am too embarrassed to have Sue Ellen switch everything. Am seriously thinking about switching reservation times while on the boat, which makes the whole REAS package pointless.

They switched formal and informal nights? What's the new schedule?

From what I've read on our trip meet board formal night is now Thursday and semi-formal is Sunday...which means my dining rotation is now messed up. I requested Palo for Thursday, but if they have the Captain's party that night we'll miss that for Palo...and then I forgot about Art of Entertaining and now brunch is in conflict with that...

Is there any place I can find the new schedule? I'd like to see it "written down".

I also realized that the times I booked didn't work and felt bad having Dreams change it for me. So what I did was call Debbie directly at DCL and changed it myself. :)

Hi Serena,
I've thought of that also...thank-you for letting me know I'm not the only one that messed up !!!

On dave's site (dcltribute.com), there is an eastern navigator from June 26th. It still lists Sunday as semi-formal and Thursday as formal.

I checked that, but someone on our cruise meet thread talked to Debbie last week and it has been flipped...check out about 4 pages back from the end.

Hi guys!

I'm on vacation at the beach with my family right now, but don't feel bad if you want changes to your dining for your REAS. I'm more than happy to make these for you (I want you to be happy, and that's what I'm here for, no matter how many changes you need.)

Just send me an email to my Dreams email address and I'll get the changes made for you.

Sue Ellen

Our family did the eastern the last week in May and DH and I did the REAS.

According to the most recent Navigators, (June 27th), formal night on the eastern is still on Sunday, and semi-formal is Thursday. (Feel better?):D

You are able to request your dining rotation (I booked directly w/DCL and spoke w/Debbie, she was wonderful!). If you wish to be in Lumiere's on formal night, you'll want the PLA rotation. (It will put you in Animator's Palate on semi-formal Thursday.)

DH and I booked the Palo brunch for Sunday 11:00. We did our couples massage that afternoon so we could have a nice leisurely day to prepare for formal night. It was very well worth it! We also had 8:30 dinner seating. (Our choice when we first booked.)

We did not want to miss ANY of the dining rotation, so we booked Palo dinner for 6:00 Monday evening so we could enjoy the show at Animator's Palate w/our 9-yo DD.

We were very happy w/all of the choices we made, and hope to do the very same when we sail again Thanksgiving 2005. (Only we'll be on the Western, but we definitely want to do the REAS again.)

I hope this helps in your decisions. Have a great time!:D

We were on the 5/22 Western so I don't know how much help this will be but it can at least give you some ideas.

We picked the APLAPLA rotation which gave us Lumiere's on Semi-formal and Formal nights (Monday and Thursday). It also put us in Parrot Cay for Mexicali night which was perfect.

I recommend your Palo dinner be on one of the nights you would have had the restaurant would have three times. For us, we skipped the second Animator's Palate. Otherwise you will have one once, another twice, and the last one three times. We got Palo one night and the three dining rooms twice each. The menu we ended up skipping was the Best Of menu.

Another choice we made was for late seating. This was nice so we didn't have to feel rushed to get back on the ship from port.

I highly recommend the couples massage on your first day at sea. We made it for the last day at sea thinking it would relax us before returning home but we were so sunburned at that point that it was uncomfortable!

We had our Palo brunch our first day at sea. You will have an extra day at sea so you will have more flexability than we had.

Finally, be sure to call just before your cruise (like you won't have enough going through your mind!) to confirm your reservations and dining rotation. I was reminded to when I booked it but I forgot with all the chaos of leaving and regretted not doing it. We first found we didn't get the rotation we asked for so we had to wait in line once on the ship. One of the reasons we got the REAS package was to avoid this. We also found our friends had an error with their Palo reservation. We had an incorrect time printed in our room for our massage as well. A call cleared this up but we were a little annoyed that we had to wait in lines and deal with all this after paying all this money!

Still, it was worth every penny as we had the time of our lives!

Okay- another REAS question.
We made our REAS ressie through our TA. Can I still call Debbie at Disney to make our arrangements or do I go throught the TA?

Denise,

We are on the same cruise as you, and I selected the following choices.

Requested PLAPLAP rotation - Reason ... puts you in Lumineres on Monday night for formal night. More importantly to me ,puts you in Parrots Cay for tropical night.

Selected Brunch on Sunday morning

Selected Palo for Monday night - that would be animators regular rotation night. We are not crazy about that menu and have seen the "show" before, so we don't mind missing that rotation night.

Will do the Champagne Breakfast Tuesday morning at St Martin. We have no excursions planned that day. Will also do the massage later that day.

Requested High Tea for Thursday .

Obviously everyone has their own priorities. I tried to look at our major planned events and then fill in around them to have something special all week. Started with our excursion plans. Knew we wanted to do a St John's excursion, and knew we had to get up early that morning anyway for customs, so stayed away from any REAS plans that day. Stayed away from Castaway Cay Friday...already a special day. So we ended up with the following.

Saturday-Sailaway
Sunday Brunch and Formal
Monday-Palo
Tuesday -Champagne Breakfast and Massage and Tropical Nite
Wednesday-Excursion
Thursday-Tea
Friday-Castaway

Hope this helps! Looking forward to the cruise!
Bob

Ok, I need some advice and help. Is the REAS worth it now that the price is 399.00?
That question being asked, we are on the 4 night Wonder in June 2005. We have early dinner seating since we are traveling with kids. For all of you out there, which dining rotation would be best on the 4 night? On our last cruise we really didn't care for AP, loved the walls, but the food was OK. However we are traveling with another family who has never cruised before and we don't want them to miss anything, since we would all be going to Palo's together. So does anyone have any imput for me?
At least this way when I book with Sue Ellen at DU i am not a total dummy. LOL :jester:

I'd still love to know if anyone can definitely confirm the change in the semi-formal and formal night switch.

Thank you so much for the thread. Now that the price is 339 we are definately going to do the REAS.

Has anyone ever just booked Palos as late as they could at night and gone to thier regular early dinner rotation? we are cruising with my 2 sisters/ BIL's, 1 neice and our Mom & friend, and we have decided that dinner time will be "our" family time together, I don't want to miss out on one of these dinners. I am planning on booking the Reas package and trying to convince my Mom and Sisters to do the same.
