Booked Poly today, two questions

Yay! I booked our Sept. trip this morning, resort only- 2 garden view rooms for 6 nights. Really, I can't believe how expensive it is!! Hope it's worth it! So here are my questions:

1) I forgot to ask for the AAA discount. Do I need to call back and do that or will they just apply it when I get there?

2) My goal in life, at this point, is to get AP discount codes when they come out and phone them in for big savings. I'm still not clear though: Do I have to have the AP when I call in with the code or can I call in and ask to have the code applied and then get an AP. The latter is preferable obviously, in case codes don't come out or I miss the window of opportunity. That way I won't be out the extra $200.

3) Is there some secret I don't know that will allow me to stay at the Poly (2 adults, 4 kids) without paying for two rooms?

Thanks,

NB

AAA discount: You will have to call back and ask for it. It might be available, but then it might not, due to availiblity. You can not wait and ask at the desk.

Annual Pass discounts: you can wait and call closer to your dates and see if any discounts are offered. They are not guarantee either. Cost of adult annual pass is $420.68 with tax, child is $357.84

There is no secret unless one child is under the age of 3. Occupancy is 5 unless one is under 3 in a crib.

Let's see if I can help...never been to the Poly, but we'll be there in August!!! :teeth:

I would call back and have them apply AAA discount now ~ I may be wrong but I *think* there are only so many "AAA discount" rooms available so you wouldn't want to get there and have the discount not be available.

As far as AP codes go, you do not need the actual AP to make the reservation. You will need it at check in though. I hear most people get one and have it activated once they get to Disney and show it upon check in.

I think the only way to have 2 adults and 4 kids would be if one or more of the children were under age 3. Poly standard rooms accomodate 5 plus 1 child under age 3.

Hooray for AAA! I just called back and asked for the AAA discount and ended up saving....drumroll please....$615!! That was $50 off per room, per night (2 rooms, 6 nights).

Feeling MUCH happier!

AAA is a real deal when booking Disney trips. I bought a AAA membership to save on my Poly room rate and it saved me $50 a night. Not bad for a membership that cost $57.

I'll be at the Poly in September too. First time to WDW. Perhaps I will see you there.

That's great, glad you called back and were able to get the discount. Keep watching the boards to see if any deeper discounts are offered closer to your arrival time.

I thought occupancy at the Poly is actually 5 and the 5th does not have to be under the age of 3? Can't you have 5 adults in the room if you want though you might have to pay extra for them? I thought the 4 and one under three was at a mod or something. Not that I'd ever cram even 5 in a room at the Poly but just curious.
