Hello, I hope some of you wonderful people can help me with a few questions abt the pirate cruise!!

DD will be 4.5 when she goes in Sept. What if the kids have to go to the bathroom? Is there one on the boat? Does a CM take them to the closest hotel? Or, heven forbid, no facilities are available for the entire time?

Last Sept was very hot & humid when we went to FL. Could I send a small backpack w/ dd with a bottle of water, a few fruit snacks and a disposable camera? She loves to take pretend pic's with her toy camera. I think it'd be cool if she could take some real ones of her own.

Thanks so much!!

Great questions! I was wondering the same thing about the bathrooms. But it never occurred to me ask here on the boards!! My DD is booked in September as well, Monday, Sept 8th. Any other DIS kids on this Pirate Cruise?

I am sorry to say that I am not sure if they had a bathroom or not. I just asked my 6yo and he stated he did not think they did. He has been to disney 5 times. He went with 4 other kids that are friends of ours. We had 16 in our group and there are 5 kids that went.

I do not see why you could not send a drink with them or a camera. Keep in mind that they have a picnic on there adventure. It consists of a PB sandwich, chips, rice crispy treat and a capri sun.

They pair the kids into groups of 2. My son still talks about this and goes around singing. HI HO HI HO a pirates life for me!!

Your kids will LOVE it!!

My daughter is signed up for Sept. 25th. She is 5. I didn't even think to ask about bathrooms. I know they can bring cameras though. Someone, sorry I can't remember who it was, emailed me a link to their childs pictures that were taken on the "voyage". I'mnot worring about snacks etc. as it is only 2 1/2 hrs. long and lunch is included.

They do provide a drink with the lunch when they go out on the cruise. If I remember correctly before they boarded they were asked if they had to go use the potty cause they are on a Pontoon boat. There is no rest room.
However the "ports fo call" are other resorts, so I guess they could use the restrooms there if necessary!

Keep in mind that CM's are not allowed to assist at all--they will not even go into the restroom with your child. Your child must be able to make sure the seat is "clean", get undressed as much as they need to, go (and wipe if appropriate), get redressed, and wash their hands on their own. It there is a sibling along they will be allowed to assist if needed.

Ducklite:

No wonder they increased the age for the Pirates Cruise!

Thanks, ducklite.

She'll be 4.5 and can use the bathroom on her own (preschool). I really don't think she'll need to use it, but I just want to make sure that someone can take her to one if needed.

Sometimes when you travel, you get the "tummy-funnies" if ya know what I mean!!

I can see though why they raised the age to 4. Unless a 3 yo had a sibling/friend, I think they might have problems using the bathroom alone.

Thanks!!
